Streamer Forced Offline After Cat Vomits Into His PC

Streamer Forced Offline After Cat Vomits Into His PC

Streamer Forced Offline After Cat Vomits Into His PC
TheGamer

Something New

Streamer Gets Forced Offline After His Cat Vomits Into His PC
Streamer JadedBlue was having an average day when his cat suddenly let loose into his open-top PC, cutting JadedBlue off for good. via Nat Geo Cats are dominating the news nowadays. They're either being , being and, in this case, throwing a streamer offline with untimely barf. One can probably tell when their cat is about to spew some steamy vomit, but poor Joe - who goes by the name JadedBlue on - was not fast enough to save his system and his stream when his cat showed up and simply puked into his computer. Joe was streaming Escape from Tarkov earlier this week when his cat, Kelsier, came through. "Hey, what's the matter, buddy?" he asked. Well, his stream subsequently cut off, prompting Twitch's technical difficulties display screen. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Joe later took to Twitter to explain his sudden disappearance and, if you aren't keen on looking at stomach-churned Friskies, then you probably shouldn't go any further. "Well guys I'm not gonna be streaming for a little bit," he tweeted. "During the stream kelsier got sick and ended up puking directly into my computer so until it's fixed, it has been fun." It appears that Kelsier puked directly into the topside vent of its owner's PC and, apparently, it's surprisingly not that far-fetched. “This has been a fear of mine ever since I’ve owned an open top case,” ResetEra commenter Gluk . Another individual revealed that a friend's cat once pissed into an open case PC and possibly ruined a brand new graphics card. "As far as I know nope! Its shut the computer off and when I was cleaning it out it looked like it went directly into my graphics card," Joe explained. One of Joe's commenters advised that cants should not be allowed to stand on PCs but the streamer clarified, stating that the cat was not on the computer but on his desk right above it. Another cheekily suggested that he should have thrown the sick animal, to which Joe responded: "I'm not Alinity." JadedBlue will, unfortunately, be off-stream until he sorts out or replaces his card. As it happens, he only has 132 followers on Twitch and hasn't been back since getting puke hurled into his system. Trust cat vomit to get in the way of your brand building, right?

Streamer Who Threw Her Cat Will Not Be Banned On Twitch But Her Harassers Might
TheGamer

Something New

Streamer Who Threw Her Cat Will Not Be Banned On Twitch But Her Harassers Might
A Twitch streamer accused on animal abuse is now claiming that Twitch will not be taking disciplinary action against her but may punish her harassers A Twitch streamer accused on animal abuse is now claiming that. The streamer, Alinity, made the statement on her official Discord server today after. This isn't the first time Alinity displayed questionable behavior towards her pets on stream, and many viewers, streamers, and some celebrities made immediate calls for action against the streamer. However, according to Alinity, Twitch has no plans to punish her in any way. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY During a game of on Friday, Alinity yelled at her cat Milo for walking in front of her monitor and then picked him up and dropped him behind her head. The narrow camera angle makes it difficult to tell how forcefully the cat was tossed, and though later streams would verify that Milo was not injured, many viewers were upset by her treatment of the cat. Compounding the issue, surfaced that show Alinity take a swig of vodka before pursing her lips for her cat to lick. Alcohol is known to be poisonous to cats, and while Alinity didn't feed the cat any significant amount of vodka, the clip is being used to support a campaign against the streamer for a history of animal abuse. The story picked up considerable steam on Twitter over the weekend, everyone from to has made statements admonishing Alinity's behavior. Fellow Streamers and have similarly accused Alinity of animal abuse. Reddit, as usual, has been out for blood and many redditors have been . According to Alinity, however, Twitch won't be issuing a ban. On her Discord server she wrote "Don't worry guys I'm fine. I spoke to someone at twitch today and I'm not getting banned. But, people who have been harassing me might be." Her channel is still available, and Twitch typically does not make statements in situations like this, so it would appear that Alinity in fact will not be receiving a ban. Alinity may still be facing repercussions though. . , explaining that she encourages everyone to report animal abuse, but that her pets are "well loved, and live in a warm and caring home." We reached out to Milo for his perspective on the issue, but he was unavailable for comment.

Streamer Chats With Lebron James In NBA 2K20
TheGamer

Something New

Streamer Chats With Lebron James In NBA 2K20
An NBA 2K streamer was only able to maintain his calm for a few seconds after NBA superstar LeBron James jumped in for a chat. via nytimes.com NBA superstar jumped on the mic to surprise and completely discombobulate streamer Adin "Adin2Huncho" Ross during an stream on Sunday. Ross had already been playing with LeBron's son Bronny, who's already pretty famous himself ,and would ask for the Los Angeles forward to come on for a bit after hearing him in the background. By the looks of it, he did not expect LeBron to oblige. But the four-time NBA MVP acquiesced and came in for a quick chat. “He said, is this LeBron,” James laughed, noting the shock. Ross, who is a relatively well-known streamer, tried to contain his excitement while speaking to the former Cleveland Cavaliers star. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY “I love you,” he said. “I don’t want to be a fanboy, but like, I love you.” “Nah, it’s all respect, man. I appreciate it, man. You show love and respect to me and my son," LeBron said before hopping off. Ross went into meltdown mode immediately after, jumping up and repeatedly screaming "What the f**k!" The streamer - who has over 85K followers on Twitch and 19.8K followers on Twitter - was suspended from the former for a seven-day period for breaking community guidelines. He tweeted a screenshot on Monday showing a message he got from Twitch claiming he featured a "suspended broadcaster." He did not reveal when the breach happened or who that broadcaster is. Of course, he probably doesn't mind too much after having a very real chat with the three-time NBA champ, although he's willing to pay $500 to get his suspension lifted. Despite the social distancing order of the day, LeBron is still a busy man. The NBA has plans to restart its season at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, on July 31. 22 of the league's 30 teams have been invited to the isolated location, where a number of regular-season games will be played before they head into the playoffs. Sides that were out of the playoff spots prior to the league's suspension on March 11, but within 3.5 games of the eighth berths, will get an opportunity to qualify via a play-in. The NBA is also considering using NBA 2K sounds as no fans will be around. EA is currently working on a deal with Sky Sports to when England's Premier League returns next week. Streamers Are Getting DMCA Strikes From Music They Played Over A Year Ago
TheGamer

Something New

Streamers Are Getting DMCA Strikes From Music They Played Over A Year Ago
A tidal wave of frustration and fear is currently plaguing Twitch streamers as DMCA has tightened its hold on copyrighted music usage on the platform. Streamers Are Getting DMCA Strikes From Music They Played Over A Year Ago A tidal wave of frustration and fear is currently plaguing Twitch streamers, as DMCA has tightened its hold on copyrighted music usage on the platform. A new batch of confusing DMCA strikes has many content creators scratching their heads. Normally, any potential audio offense is automatically muted on streamers' VODs. If non-approved, copyrighted music is detected by Twitch's algorithm, it's instantly handled by the system. However, certain music labels have recently issued some odd, aggressive copyright strikes against a number big streamers – and it has the community buzzing. If streamers receive three strikes on their accounts – they will be permanently suspended from Twitch. Sometimes, the strike doesn't even specify the correct song, as shown in the above clip. This might not be the biggest problem, . DMCA strikes have been issued for seemingly harmless music usage, and conversely, strikes haven't been issued in cases that call for it. Worst of all, they have been issues for clips that were made long ago – over a year, in some cases. The entire DMCA-Armageddon has content creators fearful. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY In an attempt to comply with these vague threats, many are managing the crisis by going into damage-control mode. Streamers are going through their VODs – the handiwork of their entire careers – and permanently deleting anything that uses music. Because Twitch doesn't have as nuanced backend features, content creators have no way to privatize or unlist these VODs – they can only delete them. Some streamers have even mentioned that they are interested in securing a radio license. To be fair, Twitch is largely not a culprit of the ensuing chaos. They have to abide by copyright law and cooperate with DMCA's standards, and certain record labels are on an absolute witch-hunt. A particular Redditor called "u/willietrom" , providing a neat recap of the madness. Supposedly, certain songs have caused the most trouble lately. Content creators on the platform aren't just distraught, they're confused. Twitch streamers maintain a symbiotic relationship with musicians. Although music is often used by streamers, these artists in turn receive a wealth of new fans from the platform's massive audience. Sure, not every musician is happy with free advertising as leverage, but leaving streamers with no option but to delete all of their past VODs is an extremely apocalyptic counter-measure. Streaming Only Xbox May Be Heading Our Way

Streaming Only Xbox May Be Heading Our Way

Streaming-Only Xbox May Be Heading Our Way
TheGamer

Something New

Rumor A Super Cheap Streaming-Only Xbox Is Being Developed
Microsoft is allegedly developing an Xbox equipped with only streaming capabilities, suggesting competition with Google Stadia. Via: Windowscentral.com There is a compelling rumor stating that is preparing to a streaming-only console. So as to support this hearsay, the source is none other than Thurrott writer Brad Sams. In the past, Sams has shown his reliability with such matters with his accurate reveal of before the game was officially presented in 2018 at . Sams has uploaded a video with his reasoning behind the release of such a device. According to Sams, Microsoft is seeking to release an Xbox that would strictly function as a device to stream its upcoming , which provides access to a massive catalogue of, to date, 3,500 games from all three generations of Xbox consoles. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Since the console would lack a number of components of a standard , its price point would be considerably lower. If all of this sounds a bit like déjà vu, that would be because this is exactly what the purports to do with its upcoming launch. With a lower price point than the Stadia, Microsoft would be looking to undercut Google's entry into the market. However, recently it has been revealed that the Stadia will still require players to pay full price for games that they would not own, but only have access to stream. Microsoft may not have much work to do, as the Stadia looks to be dead on arrival. With that in mind, there may be no rush to get this kind of product out into the market. The longer Microsoft has to develop its Project xCloud, and the better streaming technology gets, the more powerful its own entrance into the game-streaming market will be. If the Stadia turns out to be any kind of threat, this streaming-only Xbox may launch sooner rather than later. Via: Theverge.com In either case, there is still much to be done before streaming games is a reasonable choice for the average consumer. It was reported earlier that the Stadia would demand a constant speed of 35 Mbps and use approximately 15.75 GB of data per hour. Such demands are lofty, assuming one lives in a place without the most up to date ISP infrastructure, or has anyone else in the house attempting to use the bandwidth for their own internet activities. This is a developing key concern for Google. As such, if Microsoft has some way around it, they would surely dominate the streaming market. For now, we can only wait and see what comes in the near future. With the newest Microsoft console, , launching at the end of 2020, it does not seem likely that there will be anything else launched beforehand.

Streamer Boogie2988 Is VERY Serious About Us Paying For His New Tesla

Streamer Boogie2988 Is VERY Serious About Us Paying For His New Tesla
TheGamer

Something New

Streamer Boogie2988 Is VERY Serious About Us Paying For His New Tesla
When Twitch Streamer Boogie2988 bought a new Tesla Model X he believed he would be changing lives and that his audience would be happy to pay for it. When Streamer Boogie2988 bought a brand new Tesla Model X on impulse earlier this week he believed 2 things: that he would be changing lives with the car, and that his audience would be thrilled to pay for it. Boogie2988 is a Twitch streamer boasting almost half a million subscribers and a Youtuber specializing in vlogs about video game news. His youtube channel alone has a respectable 4.5 million subs, which may have something to do with the confidence Boogie displayed when he un-ironically demanded that his viewers give him money for his new car on stream. The clip made it to Reddit later that day and Redditors were, in a word, unimpressed. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY from During his stream early this week, Boogie told the story of how he was convinced by a very persuasive salesman to buy a Tesla. He describes being enchanted by the typical benefits that all electric car salesmen will proffer about saving money and helping the environment. The salesman was experienced, as anyone selling high end luxury vehicles would be, and was able to overcome all of Boogie's objections until he had no other choice but to buy the car. Boogie returned to his hotel room and was immediately hit with a staggering level of buyer's remorse. "I'm sitting there saying 'Oh my God I just put myself $100,000 in debt...Oh God what am I gonna do? Why did I do this? Why did I do this!?" In a full blown panic, Boogie took to Twitter to cry out to the world that he couldn't afford the car he just bought. As boogie describes, the response was overwhelmingly negative on Reddit and Twitter. Here's what he had to say: "I tweeted out that I wasn't going to be able to afford this car. Reddit and Twitter lost their f***ing minds. 'Oh are you trying to manipulate people into giving you money?' The answer is yes, give me some money." At the end of the video Boogie doubles down on the request, urging his viewers to "dig deep" and "I sure would like a free f***ing Tesla. Reach down into your pockets and give me $100,000 tonight." Once the clip made it to Reddit, it became clear that no one was going to take this in the light-hearted tone it may have been intended to be. In fact, the hate for Boogie2988 runs deep, apparently. Look no further than this . Boogie has a response for Reddit today, and if there was any tongue-in-cheek on the matter before, it entirely gone by this point. You can watch the clip below in all of its exuberant vulgarity. When the clip ends he leaves us with this command: "Pay for my f***ing Tesla you f***ers!" from

Streamer Tattoos Apex Legends Worst Gun To Celebrate Raising $8 000 For Charity

Streamer Tattoos Apex Legends Worst Gun To Celebrate Raising $8 000 For Charity

Streamer Tattoos Apex Legends Worst Gun To Celebrate Raising $8 000 For Charity
TheGamer

Something New

Streamer Tattoos Apex Legends Worst Gun To Celebrate Raising $8 000 For Charity
It might be the worst gun in the game, but one streamer promised to get the Mozambique from Apex Legends tattooed on her body to raise money for kids. via Nico on Twitter Mozambique A Twitch streamer has gotten a tattoo of the worst gun in Apex Legends to celebrate her raising $8,000 for a children’s charity. Currently, the Mozambique is widely regarded as the . It has a short range, pitiful stopping power, poor accuracy, a pathetic magazine, and it takes literally a week to reload. Its time-to-kill is the second worst in the game for un-armored targets, and the worst in the game when you consider armor. And if people aren’t standing still (as is usually the case in Apex Legends), then reliably damaging someone with a Mozambique is virtually impossible. You might well just melee your opponents. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY So it comes as some surprise that a moderately famous Twitch streamer decided to get a Mozambique tattooed on her left leg. Nico is a partnered Twitch stream with just over 67,000 followers. Her Instagram is filled with images that ride the line between steamy and scandalous, with a few of those pics already detailing her many tattoos. She’s got a D’Va rump in her right knee, and a loveable if somewhat maligned meme on her left knee. Which left some real estate on her left thigh up for grabs. During a recent charity drive (which raises money to give kids in hospitals the gift of gaming), Nico promised her followers that if she raised $5,000 she’d get a tattoo of the humble Mozambique. And her followers did--actually, they raised $8,000 for Gamers Outreach. And now she’s got a highly detailed and frankly gorgeous tattoo of a blue and red Mozambique on her outer thigh. Nico also tweeted out that she was totally cool with getting a tattoo of the Mozambique as it is "about to be the best gun in the game.” We don’t know about becoming “the best” gun, but Respawn did that the Mozambique would get a “hop-up” to make it “usable”, according to executive producer Drew McCoy. The Mozambique buffs will come during the launch of Apex Legends' Season 2, which starts July 2nd.

Streamer Makes Kid s Day By Putting On Mickey Mouse Voice Then Accidentally Swears

Streamer Makes Kid s Day By Putting On Mickey Mouse Voice Then Accidentally Swears

Streamer Makes Kid s Day By Putting On Mickey Mouse Voice Then Accidentally Swears
TheGamer

Something New

Streamer Makes Kid s Day By Putting On Mickey Mouse Voice Then Accidentally Swears
Twitch streamer Vesi put on a Mickey Mouse voice to entertain a seven-year-old he encountered on Fortnite, only to swear on accident. Dang it, Mickey. We know playing can be a stressful business and everything, but cuss words just won’t fly around here. What would Walt say? Streaming is a funny concept, isn’t it? For the uninitiated, it looks as though somebody is simply playing a game (as millions of us do every day), but making a living while doing so simply because they’re in front of a webcam and live on . Many gamers think this is a dream job that they could easily do, but there’s often so very much more to it than that. The sad truth is, very few aspiring streamers make it anywhere near the level of a or a . Yes, the latter was once but that discounts the hours and hours of dedication that go into getting and maintaining that level of renown. We’re not just playing games here, literally or figuratively. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY There’s a certain amount of hero-worship that comes with following popular YouTubers and streamers, too, and it’s quite dangerous. Influencers need to know just how influential they can be, as Tyler Blevins himself acknowledged when he argued that by inciting negative attitudes among their fanbases. With great power comes great responsibility, as wise old Uncle Ben once said. Which brings us to a certain tragic/hilarious incident from a recent stream. While dashing about and doing general Fortnite-y things, he put on a Mickey Mouse voice to speak to a fellow player. The seven-year-old was thrilled to be speaking to Mickey –well, momentarily; he soon asked Vesi to “put Goofy on the line” instead— and it was all as super-cute and wholesome as two-and-half minutes of a Fortnite stream ever could be. “You’re Mickey Mouse! I watch you every day!” Adorable. Sadly, as is often the case, it all ended in profanity. While trying to revive his new little buddy, Vesi came under fire and exclaimed, “oh, s**t!” The child was thrown a little, but left happy, with the promise that he could add Mickey and play Fortnite with him again.
